Tieto to relocate its headquarters to Keilaniemi
Tieto will begin to relocate its headquarters from Lassila, Helsinki to Keilaniemi, Espoo towards the end of 2016. The goal is for Keilaniemi to become the base of all of Tieto’s employees in the capital region over the next few years. Tieto employs approximately 3,700 consultants in Finland. The City of Espoo is delighted with the news of Tieto’s office move. “We are extremely pleased to have Tieto’s headquarters here in Espoo”, says Business and Economic Development Director Tuula Antola. “Tieto’s office move is great news for the West Metro growth corridor.”

“Keilaniemi offers Tieto an excellent location as part of the Espoo Innovation Garden ecosystem, which already includes a number of other international businesses, Aalto University, an active start-up community, and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland”, Antola explains. A total of 13 new underground stations will be opened along the new Western Metro line, 11 of which will be in Espoo. Keilaniemi will be the first one after Helsinki. By the autumn of 2016, the underground network will reach as far as Matinkylä. The extension of the line to Kivenlahti is due to be completed by the end of 2020. Tieto will be moving to Keilaniemi in stages, starting towards the end of 2016. |
