Cleantech Garden - the best test bed in the world for bio- and circular economy solutions
Together with VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, the City of Espoo wants to make Cleantech Garden the best test bed in the world for bio and circular economy solutions.
Cleantech Garden aims to be the leading cleantech innovation hotspot for sustainable bio- and circular economy in Finland and globally. The mission is to create an open, dynamic, multi-actor ecosystem for business, research and education around VTT’s Bioruukki Pilot Centre site.
VTT’s Bioruukki is located in Espoo’s Kivenlahti - in a rapidly growing and developing area with a future metro connection. Bioruukki, one of VTT’s biggest investments, is a research environment that brings together digitalisation, research on the bio- and circular economies and companies.
What is Cleantech Garden all about:
- Textile fibres from wood-based materials such as cellulose
- Recovery of nutrients and rare metals from waste streams
- Biochemicals, biofuels and biomaterials from waste
- Business ecosystems with value networks: collaboration platforms
- New circular economy business models
- Techno-economic feasibility studies
The R&D&I work at Cleantech Garden gives companies and research organizations all over world a competitive edge. Join the forerunners!
