Saunas in Espoo

Saunas are an important part of Finnish culture. And it is said that there are enough saunas in Finland to easily accommodate all 5.5 million Finns simultaneously. It’s true since estimates place the number of saunas somewhere between 2 and 3 million!

In Espoo, you'll have multiple ways to get familiar with the sauna. There are several types of saunas, the most common being electric, wood-heated, and smoke saunas. In Espoo, you can also book an exotic Inipi Spa sauna experience. Most saunas are private and/or are available for groups to rent, but there are some public saunas too. Enjoy!

Oittaa Recreation area

Public Saunas in Oittaa recreation area for 25 persons. Separated sauna-, shower- and dressing rooms for men and women. Both saunas have large locker rooms with lockable closets. Please check opening hours and possible private reservations first: email myynti@oittaa.fi

Bodom Mansion

BowlCircus Sello

BowlCircus' sauna department consists of a sauna and private space. You can watch the bowling tracks from the sauna. All services from menus to drinks can be ordered to the sauna and other private spaces. BowlCircus Sello is located in the Sello shopping centre in Leppävaara.

Espoo Metro Arena

Two cabinets with saunas with direct visibility to the arena. Saunas fit up to 43 people. Metro Arena is in the Espoo sports park in Tapiola.

Eventure Yli-Takkulan tila

On Yli-Takkulan tila in Northern Espoo on the vicinity of Nuuksio Eventure has an old but renovated wood-heated log sauna. The sauna fits 8 people, and there's a hot-tub on the outside terrace for 6-8 people.

Green Window Nuuksio

Traditional smoke sauna in Nuuksio National Park, wood-heated sauna, and two electric saunas by the beautiful lake. Also suitable for larger groups and can be reserved for private occasions. 

Finnish Nature Centre Haltia

Haltia's sauna Saivo's private facilities are designed for 12 people. The room reservation includes a hot sauna with shower and dressing area and a cabinet with access to the panoramic terrace. Sauna is located in Nuuksio by lake Pitkäjärvi.

Hotel Hanasaari

Retrosauna with 70s atmosphere. Two separate saunas for 6 or 10 people can be rented. The sauna section also has a 17-meter swimming pool, a fireplace area, a terrace, and a pier. Hanasaari is located between Keilalahti and Lauttasaari. 

Hawkhill Cottage Resort

8 different sized villas next to Nuuksio National Park. Each villa has it's own sauna, a private beach and a pier where you can take a dip in the lake. Saunas are either wood-heated or electric saunas.

Hotel Korpilampi

Hotel Korpilampi has a smoke sauna and a meeting room sauna. The smoke sauna is by pond Korpilampi and fits up to 10 people. It has a dressing room and an additional hot tub can be booked. The meeting room sauna at the hotel offers a great way to relax after a meeting. It fits up to 20 people at a time. Bigger groups can book the hotel's sauna department for private rooms outside of the opening hours for hotel guests.

Hotel Lepolampi

Lepolampi has two log saunas that can be booked for various recreational and festive occasions. The large sauna has a fireplace room and is suitable for meetings and evenings. The sauna can accommodate 40 to 45 people. The small sauna can accommodate 6 to 10 people and the sauna also has a lounge area. The hotel is located close to Nuuksio on pond Kivilampi.

Hotel Nuuksio

Hotel Nuuksio's services include a pool department with a sauna, and saunas by the lake. 

Pool: Separate saunas and dressing rooms for men and women. There is a 16-metre pool and a jacuzzi for 8 people. The smaller sauna fits 8 to 10 people and the bigger one 18 to 25 people. The saunas can be rented together or separately. Hotel Nuuksio is located in Nuuksio by lake Siikajärvi. 

Saunas by the lake: Two saunas with dressing rooms and wash rooms by the lake Siikajärvi. They have private piers and beaches. The msalles sauna fits 6 to 8 people and the bigger one 15 to 18 people. The saunas can be rebted together or separately.

Löylykontti

Löylykontti is by the sea in Matinlahti. It is a unique and idyllic sauna inside a shipping container. You can book a ticket for just yourself or book the whole sauna for your group. 

Majvik Hotel

Majvik has three saunas by the sea:

The Hotel's sauna department: Two large 35 person saunas for women and men, communal pool and fireplace room. There is also a smaller 15-person sauna in the hotel building, which is immediately heated by a smart heater. 

Mestarimaari

The Mestarimaari event space in Puolarmaari has a newly renovated sauna and room with a fire place. The Sauna is located at the edge of Espoo central park. The space is for around 40 people and fits well for meetings or small parties and gatherings. The sauna fits around 6 people at once.

Natura Viva

Natura Viva offers three saunas for private use in Nuuksio. All saunas are by a lake.

Oravankolo & Tikankolo: Authentic and original forest houses from the 1950s. In both houses, there are wood-heated saunas and at the end of the evening, it is also possible to stay overnight. Both houses can accommodate six people. Oravankolo is by pond Ruuhilampi and Tikankolo is by pond Saarilampi.

Hawk Nest Sauna: In the sauna you can enjoy the gentle steam of a genuine wood-heated sauna. The sauna can be booked all year round for private events and the sauna can accommodate up to six people at a time. The sauna has running water and washing facilities and is located by pond Haukkalampi.

Nuuksio Taika

The Villa Paradise’s wood-heated sauna near Nuuksio is for 7 people, with two showers, a toilet, and a dressing room. The sauna's covered terrace has a table for 12 people, as well as a fireplace and oven. Next to the sauna terrace, there is a hot tub that can accommodate 7 people.

Otahalli

The Otaniemi Sauna and cabinet department is a great place for up to 20 people for a meeting or for a sauna after the game. It's possibly to also book some activities such as ball games or other sports as part of your visit. The sauna and cabinet department has its own separate entity, guaranteeing users peace of mind. The sauna and cabinet can also be rented separately.

Radisson Blu Espoo

Top-floor wellness area provides a relaxing atmosphere with beautiful views. The facilities include an indoor swimming pool, 3 saunas and a terrace. The accompanying lounge also features a cozy fireplace. The wellness area is available for private bookings. Radisson Blu hotel is located in Otaniemi.

Restaurant Laguna

Laguna's sauna by the lake: The sauna, outside cooking facilities and outside hot tub by lake Lippajärvi are a great place for up to 40 people to get together. The sauna also has a liquour license and its own menu.

Lovely sauna made from pine for 35 people in the centre of Leppävaara with a heated terrace with a view.

Cozy sauna for 25 people in Laajalahti.

Luukki Mansion rents our two saunas within 300 metres of the beach. The saunas are for about 20 people each and they share a cooling space in between. The space can accommodate up to 100 people together and is perfect for sports clubs' events or companies' refreshment days for example.

Rock Above Studio

Rock Above Studio's sauna is great for 8 to 10 people. The surrounding space fits 70 people. The living room has a fireplace, sound system, video prjector, karaoke and Playstation 3. There is also a stage that fits an entire band. Roch Above Studio is located in Olarinluoma.

Rongo House

Rongo house and its sauna are located in Sinimäki. There's also a hot tub and fireplace.

Sauna Tapiola

Sauna Tapiola's sauna and meeting room are in the centre of Tapiola next to the metro station. The sauna fots 10 people at once. The space consists of a living space, terrace, showers, dressing rooms and kitchen in addition to the sauna.

Sea & Mountain Adventures, SMA Group

Karhunpesä / Bear’s Nest: Traditional wood-heated sauna in Nuuksio, outdoor jacuzzi and meeting facilities for 20 people.

Inipi Spa: Large teepee with a gentle, wood-heated sauna and three hot tubs for relaxing in Nuuksio. The sauna can accommodate 15-20 persons at once.

Original Sokos Hotel Tapiola Garden

Tapiola Garden's sauna facility can be booked for private use daily after 7 p.m. for birthdays or bachelor parties for example. In addition to the saunas and swimming pool, the sauna cabinet and sun terrace are available for use. The hotel is located in Tapiola.

Solvalla

Solvalla has two saunas by the lake. The larger sauna can accommodate about 15 persons at one time. During the sauna, you can enjoy the fresh air of the national park on the sauna terrace or on the pier. Solvalla is located in Nuuksio by lake Pitkäjärvi. The smaller sauna can accommodate about 6 persons at once and is located next to the large sauna. If necessary, you can also rent a grill or order food. 

Herrö 

Herrö's sauna on the island of Stora Herrö fits about 10 people. The beautiful sea view can be admired from the sauna and it's also possible to cool off on the terrace and go for a swim in the sea from the sauna's private deck. Towels and washing equipment are offered at the sauna.

Technopolis

Technopolis sauna facilities in Otaniemi provide a modern setting for atmospheric sauna evenings. Larger parties can be arranged in the largest sauna rooms, which can be combined on the rooftop terrace. There is also a possibility of organizing theme nights in the sauna rooms during the sauna. The capacity is 10 to 24 people, more for free-form events.
