Culture and Attractions

The Glims Farmstead Museum offers a glimpse of the Espoo of yesteryear.

Glims Farmstead Museum is the former farmstead which is located in the well-preserved cultural landscape of Karvasmäki village in Bemböle, Espoo. The 11 buildings in the large yard area at Glims are in their original locations. Glims has been as a farm at least from 1500 until the 1900 century. Glims has been a museum since 1958. Museum organizes exhibitions and events all year round, such as live craft demonstrations, musical performances, and storytelling.

Also, different guided programs are available which can be reserved via phone. A charming old-fashioned museum shop is also located in the main buildings at Glims. The museum shop offers Finnish-made handicraft products which can be bought as a souvenir. During the visit, visitors can stop at Café Glims which is located in the old henhouse and offers both sweet and savory treats.
