Honkalintu Oy was established in 2001 by Markku Janhonen. The company provides fly-fishing events and different kinds of nature experiences combined with business training events or separately. Our customers include both domestic and foreign businesses. We arrange approximately 150 events in different locations throughout the year. At Honkalintu events you will meet our jovial and professional tour guides who lead you to unforgettable moments that you can enjoy and be sure that you are always in safe hands.

“I have been working for Finnish banking businesses for 17 years. As a part of my job, I brought my clients and colleagues to Ilomantsi for fly-fishing. This is how I got the idea to make this my livelihood. I was brought up in Ilomantsi, I know the area and its nature very well, so opening a nature travel business was a natural solution. I decided to start this business in the year 2000, got my Wilderness Guide diploma, and established this company called Honkalintu.”  I haven't regretted my decision."

Our services and programmes

Tentsile Experience Eco Camp: ”Night in the tree” Green Eco Camp in Nuuksio National Park, Espoo Finland

World first Tentsile Experience Eco Camp was founded in 2016 in the Nuuksio National Park area. It is the greenest area for Eco Camp and is called ”Night in the Tree”.
This is a very ecological way to experience nature via a new experiential tree tent experience, Eco Camp creates a unique link with nature and the environment.

Tentsile Experience was a great success in summer 2017, over 350 persons spend a night in the tree, and in summer 2018 and 2019 over 450 persons spend a night in the tree!

Visitors from Australia, Canada, South Africa, Brazil, Asian countries, European countries, Finland spent one memorable and fascinated night in the middle of Finnish nature.

Tentsile Experience Eco Camp area is located near Haltia, the Finnish Nature Centre.

Experiences for small and large groups

Honkalintu has an enjoyable service package for small and large groups in your chosen conference site in Southern Finland. Many of the conference mansions serve as places for Honkalintu to create experiences in connection with business training.

Nuuksio Nature Park has a unique nature that provides the perfect surroundings for an adventure close to the capital, and delicious meals prepared on a campfire by Honkalintu’s chef complete the perfect day in nature.

Hiking trips to Nuuksio National Park 

In Nuuksio National Park you can enjoy nature experiences away from the hustle and bustle of the Helsinki metropolitan area. Nuuksio is well fitted for full-day events or for a short trip in connection with business training events.

In connection with longer hiking events, such as recreational days, we offer a possibility to enjoy your meal in nature, and offer coffee prepared in a pot over open fire.

Snowshoeing Trips

Snowshoeing is an easy way to get to know the wonders of winter nature. Following the rabbit’s trails on snow or simply enjoying nature with an experienced guide is a good addition to a training and conference day’s program.

This trip can be done in darkness with the aid of headlights. Snowshoeing fits all ages and fitness levels. No previous experience needed.

Ice stock sport

Ice stock sport (also known as Bavarian Curling) is a winter sport, somewhat similar to curling. In German, it is known as Eisstockschießen. Competitors slide ice stocks over an ice surface, aiming for a target, or to cover the longest distance. Ice stocks have a gliding surface, to which a stick (ca 30 cm) is attached.
